Menongue — A new fast test to diagnose malaria was launched on Monday by the health authorities in the eastern Kuando Kubango province.
This was said to Angop on Monday in Menongue city by the local official in charge of the programme to combat malaria in Kuando-Kuabngo province, Ntima Mandawele, during the main event of the celebrations of the World Malaria Day, marked on 25 April.
According to him, five brigades are working in anti-larve activities in the districts of Calai, Cuangar, Kuchi, Cuito Cuanavale and Menongue.
He said that distribution of mosquito nets are also part of the campaign to fight against malaria.
