British bookmaker William Hill have cut the odds on Arsene Wenger leaving the Gunners next season from 10/3 (4.33) to 11/4 (3.75).

Arsenal look on course for another trophyless campaign after their late defeat to Bolton all but ended their Premier League title chances.

“The strain is clearly getting to Arsene who has looked increasingly as though he will spontaneously combust in a match shortly. He may well decide that enough is enough should the fans demonstrate dissatisfaction at Arsenal’s trophyless run,” said William Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.

You can back Wenger @ 1/4 (1.25) with William Hill to to still be in charge on the first day of next season. The Professor has been in charge of Arsenal since 1996 leading them to three league titles but has been without a trophy since the 2005 FA Cup win over Manchester United.

Arsenal were as short as 1.30 to win at least one trophy this season prior to their League Cup final defeat to Birmingham. After being dumped out of all three cup competitions they are now 150/1 (151.0) long-shots to win the Premier League.

Long time Barcelona target Cesc Fabregas is 11/10 (2.10) to take his leave of the Emirates this summer compared to 4/6 (1.66) to stay in London for another year.

If Wenger does leave Arsenal after 15 years there are no shortage of candidates with bookmakers already drawing up a shortlist of managers to succeed the Frenchman. Unemployed Martin O’Neill is currently the favourite @ 10/1 (11.0).
