Rights (Arusha) 30 March 2011 press release Arusha — The African Court on Human and Peoples’ Rights meeting at its 20th Ordinary Session in Arusha, Tanzania, from 14 to 25 March 2011 issued an order for provisional measures in relation to an application received from the African Commission on Human and Peoples’ Rights, alleging serious and widespread violations of human rights by the government of the Great Socialist People’s Libyan Arab Jamahiriya.

Capanda — Minister of Energy and Water, Emanuela Vieira Lopes, exhorted on Monday in Capanda locality, northern Malanje province, the new trained staff in operation and electro-mechanics maintenance in order to better conserve infrastructures and equipment of the sector.

The official said so to the press on Monday while addressing the closing ceremony of the training on operation and electro-mechanics maintenance.

The minister appealed to the newly trained staff to be more responsible in handling the equipment, conserving the infrastructure and all means, so as to secure more durability of the materials and make profit of the investment.

The minister said that new staff will work in Ngove Dam in the central Huambo province.

According to her, this power station is a new and sophisticated infrastructure that requires attention in the handling of the equipment.

The course, which was promoted by the Office of the Development of the Middle Kwanza (GAMEK), was attended by 30 people.

During 90 days, the participants debated issues related to techniques on handling of electro-mechanic equipment, as well as the composition and functioning of power stations, whose themes were run by Brazilian lecturers.
