Ghanaian striker Ernest Papa Arko scored for Gaish as they condemned Ittihad to a 3-1 loss in the Egyptian Premier League on Monday, to deepen the Alexandrian side’s misery.
Gaish’s Hossam Abdul-Aal broke the deadlock on 23 minutes with a powerful free kick before Ahmed Galal restored parity on the stroke of half time with a close-range effort.
Ernest Papa Arko fired the hosts upfront once again eight minutes past the hour mark with a header.
Mikael Dodzi Dogbe completed the rout upon converting a one-on-one chance 14 minutes from time.
Military outfit Gaish are now in ninth place with 22 points while the beleaguered Ittihad are languishing at the bottom of the league table on 12.
