The General Secretary for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie (Sir John) has described this year’s Easter festivities as the worse ever experienced on the calendar of the nation because, the country did not wintess the usual Good Friday rains.
Speaking to Adom News, Sir John said so far as he can remember, “the country receives rains from above on Easter Fridays it with thunderstorm but this time nothing of that happened on Easter Friday and so a sign of God’s anger with the nation”.
There was heavy downpour with thunderstorm in Accra and surrounding towns on Holy Saturday through to the night resulting power cuts in most area.
However Sir John said, the rains on every Easter Friday is symbolic as said in Luke 23:35 where the sun was darkened, and the veil of the temple was torn
