Ferguson: Sees no reason why United can beat Arsenal and Chelsea in their next two games
Sir Alex Ferguson has challenged Manchester United to beat Arsenal and Chelsea to wrap up a record-breaking 19th title.
United opened up a nine-point gap at the head of affairs on Saturday lunchtime after Javier Hernandez’s late header secured a 1-0 win over Everton.
The Red Devils have four games remaining and know seven more points will guarantee another Premier League crown for Ferguson.
The leaders’ next two games are against title rivals Arsenal and Chelsea, and Ferguson is determined to approach the crunch fixtures in a positive frame of mind.
Forget the nonsense
“The thing that puzzles me is they (the media) keep saying Arsenal and Chelsea have got to play us still, like we’re going to lose them…why shouldn’t we win those games?” he told Sky Sports 2.

Sir Alex Ferguson Quotes of the week
“As I said to the players, forget all that nonsense. Just try to win your games and you’ll be all right, keep your heads and don’t get carried away.
“There are only four games left and the way they are going about their business gives them an outstanding chance (of success).”
Ferguson also had praise for match-winner Hernandez, who continues to exceed all expectations in a prolific first year in England after he notched his 19th goal in United colours.
“We didn’t expect that (level of performance),” admitted Ferguson.
“We thought a year of introducing him to the club and adapting to English football and strengthening him up.
“He’s done all those things already. He comes in every day at nine and he’s the last to leave, this boy is very dedicated.”
