Luanda — The draft framework law of the State’s Policy on Youth will soon be analysed in Parliament, following public consultations, Angop learned Thursday in Luanda.

The information was released by the head of the 6th Parliament Commission, Francisco Casstro Maria, while addressing the opening of the workshop on “Public Policies on Youth”, sponsored by the said commission.

According to the MP, the Draft of the State’s Law on Youth is another bill that will be submitted to Parliament soon.

He considered the workshop as very important, adding it will enable the MPs to think about the problems and aspirations of the youth, with a view to the promotion of legislative initiatives leading to the implementation of public polices forwarded by the Government.

Castro Maria said the improvement of the citizens’ living and the economic and cultural development must also receive the contribution of the society, particularly the youths.

To this end, he added, the youths are required to be united as beneficiaries of the State Policy.

The Workshop that gathered MPs and youth associations discussed such topics as “Youths’ rights and duties in terms of the Constitution” and “Youth associativism in terms of the State Policy on Youth”.

It was intended to outline priorities in the solution to the main problems affecting the youth.
