Although fire fighters arrived at the scene to contain the fire, goods worth several thousands of Ghana cedis were completely burnt.
The Ghana National Fire Service says it is yet to determine the exact cause of the fire since the shop owners had closed for the day and locked up the shop.

The Deputy Public Relations Officer for the service, Prince Anaglate told Citi News that residents appear to be ignoring the service’s caution about fire outbreak.
