Graham: Key player for Saints

St Helens prop James Graham is close to securing a move to NRL team Canterbury Bulldogs, according to reports.

The Great Britain international and former Super League Man of Steel has been in talks with the Bulldogs for some time.

And a report in Australia’s Daily Telegraph suggests those talks are ‘just about complete’.

Canterbury chief executive Todd Greenberg told the newspaper: “We are still negotiating and hopefully we can get him. He would be a good ‘get’ – James is a champion player.

“It’s close but we haven’t agreed yet.”

The forward, who currently shares captaincy duties with Paul Wellens at Saints, is reportedly set to sign a three-year deal with the NRL club.
