Roma Supporters Attack Car Of Jeremy Menez

A group of Roma supporters let out their frustrations after the club’s first leg Coppa Italia semi final defeat to Inter by damaging the car of playmaker Jeremy Menez, according to La Corriere dello Sport.

The former Italian champions lost the encounter 1-0 at the Olympico in Rome courtesy of a Dejan Stankovic goal, and it now appears increasingly likely that the club will end the season trophyless.

The windscreen of Menez’s car was smashed with stones as the France international left the stadium after the defeat but fortunately Menez was left unscathed from the incident.

Police are investigating the attack with the former Monaco winger looking to press charges against the unknown thugs.

Roma is currently in a poor run of form, having won only one of its last five games. Menez, in particular, has been criticized by some supporters.

The club are back in Serie A action on Saturday where it will be looking to return to winning ways against Chievo, as Vincenzo Montella’s men attempt to qualify for the Champions League next season.
