Portugal-based fullback Terna Suswan has been handed a late call-up by the Nigeria Olympic team ahead of this weekend’s qualifier against Equatorial Guinea.

The Vitoria Setubal right back, who has been capped by Nigeria at full international level, is now one of 15 foreign-based players for Saturday’s 2012 Olympic Games qualifying match against Equatorial Guinea in Benin City.

Suswan joined Vitoria Setubal from Lobi Stars of Makurdi.

Team officials confirmed on Tuesday that with the situation, only 15 domestic league players would be retained, to make for a total of 30.

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) have invited Edo State Governor, Adams Oshiomole, as the Special Guest of Honour for the encounter, starting at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium from 4pm local time on Saturday.

Ghanaian Alex Asante is the match commissioner for the Olympic qualifier in Benin. He will arrive Nigeria on Thursday, same day as the referees from Niger Republic.
