Koku AnyidohoCommunications Director at the Presidency, Koku Anyidoho says President Mills’ tour of the Upper East and West regions has yielded ample evidence that he (Mills) had done tremendously well in just two years contrary to propagandist criticisms that he had done nothing.

He said the tour has given President Mills a fair idea and a firsthand assessment of how his policies were impacting the people.

President Mills is currently in the Upper West region as part of his familiarization tour of the three Northern regions to enable him assess progress of a number of projects, inaugurate those completed and cut the sod for new ones under the ‘Better Ghana Agenda’.

On Ekosii Sen programme Tuesday on Asempa FM, Koku Anyidoho noted that “with all these that is going on, I feel sorry for the NPP because I don’t see how 2012 they are going to survive in this part of Ghana”.

He added he will no longer be bothered by criticisms from the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) because “they will make noise, and make noise and make noise and if you are not careful you will be derailed by their noise. We will stay focussed and continue to count our blessings that God has given to us by our President Mills and henceforth NDC will mind our own business and we will talk about the projects that President Mills has done”.

According to Koku, Funsi in the Wa East District of the Upper West region created in 2004 under the NPP which never saw any developments, can now boast of a new Senior High School under the initiative of President Mills which will admit their first batch of students in September.

“A district that was created in 2004 and left orphaned, today thanks to President Mills that district has parents” he added.

He said in Gwollu, the hometown of Dr. Hilla Liman, Ghana’s President in the third Republic, President Mills after commissioning a library complex for the town, named a new school under construction Hilla Limann Memorial Senior High School after the late president.

Mr. Anyidoho observed that the NDC government was gradually getting rid of schools under trees with the construction of classroom blocks in the various towns of the Upper East and West regions of Ghana.

He said President Mills will Wednesday cut the sod for the construction of the Bogoso – Tarkwa road, saying teasingly that on Monday when, convinced by the mass of development work undertaken by the Mills administration he had declared a “one-touch” victory for the President in 2012, the further additions he had witnessed would make the battle even lighter. Koku therefore ‘counseled’ the NPP to forget the race.
