And while most would imagine the 30-year-old socialite is seething with jealousy, she yesterday insisted this was not the case – albeit slightly unconvincingly.

Speaking to reporters in Mexico, Paris said that she had reached all her professional goals and was not worried about being overshadowed by her former friend Kim – or any other reality show revival.

In an interview on Tuesday with The Associated Press, Hilton pointedly said there are many people who try to imitate what she does.

But despite appearing to concede her star may not be shining as brightly as it once was, she was keen to point out that she was around before 30-year-old Kim’s dangerous curves knocked her off course.

‘I am the original,’ she proclaimed. ‘So there is nothing like me.’
