Not once, the Premier League takes the back seat this weekend and midweek as the international break captures our imagination.

That means Monitor Fantasy Football League managers will also be catching the action from the stands or directors’ boxes, arms crossed in anticipation.

But as you know, in this dynamic business you don’t sit and block imaginations and strategies from filtering through simply because you have no game to worry you.

While you sit back and take in the action with relish, your mind is wandering across all the continents praying none of your players and possible targets for the Manager of the Season title run-in gets injured.

And a lot of ouch(s) will be heard and breaths held amongst MFFL bosses when action finally gets underway.

For Eng. Kaganda Juniour, he was lucky enough he didn’t have such worries as he swept the last two weeks, thus, breaking into the overall top 20 of the close to 1,600 managers game.

But for last week, he was given a tight race, in fact, ruthlessly matched by Sulaitfc, whose manager is yet to find a name, both polling 79 points and Shs100, 000 each. The top two on the same points are always given the weekly prize of Shs100,000 each and on such occasions these two are the week’s only winners. That said, I can’t begrudge you for this rest. You deserve it after the nerve-wrecking action in the FA, Champions League and the Premiership.

But while you savour the international action (fixtures on the cover page), be on the lookout for possible buys for next weekend’s title surge.
