AWKA – STAKEHOLDERS in Anaocha/Dunukofia/Njikoka Federal constituency have endorsed the candidate of the Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, for the area, Mr. Dozie Nwankwo,for the April elections, describing him as the candidate that commands the highest popularity in the area.
Rising from its emergency meeting in Awka, the stakeholders, comprising traditional rulers, religious and community leaders, and key political figures, advised other candidates vying for the position in next month’s elections to do self-examination.
In a 12-point communiqué issued at the end of the meeting and signed by Chief Ignatius Eseke and Mr. Law Ugwunna, chairman and secretary respectively, they said that the advice became necessary because they have discovered that Nwankwo is more popular than the others.
“Mr. Nwankwo is now a house hold in the constituency because of the Foundation he has established. Through this Foundation, he has helped the widows, brought health care to the people, empowered the youths, organized football matches in the entire constituency and sponsored people from the constituency on Holy pilgrimage,” they observed.
