The Hairspray director and So You Think You Can Dance judge, who is adapting the musical Rock of Ages for New Line Cinema, is holding an open casting call in L.A. this Saturday for the role of Drew Boley – the aspiring rocker first played on Broadway by American Idol’s Constantine Maroulis.
Producers are looking for “a male actor between 18 and 25 with a real rock ‘n’ roll singing voice.”
