Tottenham winger Gareth Bale has emerged as a major doubt for Wales ahead of their Euro 2012 clash with England this weekend.
Bale was set to feature at the Millennium Stadium after only just returning to fitness following a back problem.
But now it appears that Bale has suffered a hamstring injury which means he will not feature in the Welsh capital.
Bale looks set to return to Tottenham on Thursday to have the injury assessed, but reports suggest he is no longer under consideration by Wales coach Gary Speed.
It is believed that the injury is not bad enough that it will prevent him from lining up in Spurs’ next game at Wigan on April 2, which is soon followed by their UEFA Champions League quarter-final first leg with Real Madrid.
