The defending European and world champions have struggled since their triumph over the Netherlands in the final of the 2010 World Cup last summer and suffered heavy defeats to Argentina and Portugal in international friendlies.
On Friday Spain host the Czech Republic in a Euro 2012 qualifier and coach Del Bosque has underlined the importance of the game, having been quoted by Fifa.com as saying, “They are our biggest threat. They have great physical and technical qualities.
“They are very strong and have been one of the best teams in Europe in recent years. The worry for us is that most of our players are involved in domestic and European campaigns with their clubs and will continue to be so until the end of the season.
“We need to go into Friday’s game with the right mentality because if any one of us is switched off, it could really complicate things.”
La Furia Roja have won all three of the qualifying matches so far and top their group with nine points.
