Mario Balotelli has a future at Manchester City, insists his agent Mino Raiola, who is blaming media pressure in England for recent irrationality from the striker.

Balotelli’s sending off for a high challenge against Dinamo Kiev was met with exclusion from the Italy squad this week.

National team coach Cesare Prandelli claimed Balotelli needed “help” to stop him “destroying his career” when asked why he had been dropped.

Now Raiola thinks the striker needs to be left out of the media spotlight in England.

“A part of the English media, the one which I don’t like, make a massive drama, and this is what happened with Balotelli, any little thing is blown out to the fore,” Raiola told Sky Sport Italia.

“It’s an unfortunate moment for Mario, there were positive talks with Prandelli, they have excellent relations.

“However, he is upset with the sending off and the Italy exclusion. But, he will come out stronger.”

Reports over the weekend suggested Roberto Mancini almost came to blows with the 20-year-old over the Europa League trouble.

Raiola, however, dismissed there were any continuing problems between the player and his manager.

He added: “In anycase, there is no problem, neither with the club, nor with Mancini.”
