Although Spurs were unable to find the breakthrough to beat West Ham United on Saturday at White Hart Lane, with the game finishing goalless, the 25-year-old was excellent throughout.
The Croatian has been in scintillating form all season, both in the Premier League and Champions League, and his performances have seen him linked with a move to both Manchester United and Inter Milan, and Redknapp was full of praise for his diminutive midfielder.
“Luka’s incredible. He’s on another planet” Redknapp told the club’s official website.
“You think teams have got good players until you see them play against him and you realize he’s on another level.
“Absolutely top drawer. He’s a fantastic player and a fantastic boy.
“I could sit and watch him play all day.”
On the negative side for the North London side is the fact that Saturday’s draw leaves them four points behind Manchester City in fourth place, but while Redknapp admits it will be tough, his side aren’t giving up.
“It’s going to be tight but we’re playing very well, we’re in the quarter-finals of the Champions League and trying to get in the top four again,” added Redknapp.
“We knew getting fourth spot would be difficult at the start of the season, it always is, and it’s the same for Man City or anybody.
“But we’re still in there fighting.”
