Head Coach of the Super Eagles, Samson Siasia has called up Dolphin FC of Port Harcourt goaltender, Sunday Rotimi for next weekend’s 2012 African Nations Cup qualifying match against Ethiopia in Abuja.
This brings to four the number of domestic League players who will vie for places in Nigeria’s line-up against the Walya Antelopes.
Rotimi is number one for Nigeria Premier League leaders Dolphin FC, who lead the log with 43 points from 19 matches at the halfway mark. Rotimi is also not a stranger to national team camp, having been prominent in the ‘B’ team for several years.
The lanky goalie is expected to hit the Transcorp Hilton hotel camp of the team this weekend alongside other domestic League stars Chibuzor Okonkwo, Ekigho Ehiosun and Julius Ubido.
