Reports from Austria over the weekend suggested that the Bavarian powerhouse are considering making a move for Pogatetz at the end of the season to solve their defensive problems.
“I haven’t heard anything from Bayern Munich and I still have an ongoing contract with Hannover. However, I feel honored that a club like Bayern Munich are interested in me,” the Austria international was quoted as saying by reporters.
The 28-year-old defender started his career with Kaernten and also played for Bayer Leverkusen, Aarau, Grazer, Spartak Moscow and Middlesbrough before joining Hannover in the summer of 2010.
Pogatetz’s current contract with Hannover runs until the summer of 2013.
