Uganda: Rwandan Eliminates Buyinza

Top seed Robert Buyinza became the second big scalp to fall to a lower ranked player at the quarterfinals of the on-going Castle Lite Uganda Tennis Open yesterday.

Buyinza fell to sixth seed Dieudonne Habiyambere of Rwanda 6-1, 6-4.

Habiyambere outdid the Ugandan in speed and Buyinza was never in rhythm as he lost the first rubber 6-1.

Buyinza put up some resistance in the second set but a hamstring undid his efforts.

Another Ugandan Duncan Mugabe, though, showed maturity as he rolled into the semifinals with a 6-1, 6-1 obliteration of Rwanda’s Olivier Nkunda.
