Luanda — The Angolan Football Federation (FAF), Friday in Luanda during its extraordinary assembly general, agreed on holding anticipated elections on 19 May.
Speaking to the press, the spokesperson of the provincial associations of football, Hélio Machado Lafayette, affirmed the fact was due to a deliberation of the associated members, following a proposal presented by the management of the country’s soccer governing body.
The interlocutor explained that the current team, led by Justino Fernandes, will remain in functions until the holding of the poll, whose elected body will keep the post until 2012, at the time that will be held another election for the 2013/2016 period.
He said that there has been appointed an electoral commission comprising Rogério Silva, Carlos Rodrigues and Mariano de Almeida.
