The presidential candidate of the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC), Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, has said Nigeria’s leaders tap the nation’s resources for their selfish interest.
Buhari said: ” Nigeria is blessed with resources but we don’t have good leaders that have the sympathy of the people in their hearts.
‘’We only have leaders who tap these resources for their selfish interest.”
He urged the electorate to vote in credible and responsible people.
Buhari spoke at the weekend in Jigawa State at the palace of the Emir of Dutse, Alhaji Muhammadu Sanusi.
He said he had launched his campaign in the six geo-political zones and was confident of victory next month.
He presented the governorship candidate, Alhaji Farouk Adamu Aliyu, and other candidates to the people.
The presidential candidate urged party supporters and sympathisers to vote CPC.
He said the party would improve their well being, if voted into power.
Buhari said: “I urge my people to vote CPC and ensure their votes are protected and counted correctly.”
Alhaji Sanusi, who was represented by the Galadiman Dutse, Alhaji Basiru Sanusi, thanked Buhari for his visit.
Sanusi urged politicians to shun rancour and violence.
