Carlos Tevez has failed a late fitness test having incurred a groin injury and therefore misses out on Manchester City‘s visit to Chelsea for this afternoon’s key Premier League top of the table clash.

Tevez scored twice against the champions last term, but will be unable to repeat the feat in Sunday’s match having failed in his race to be fit in time.

Chelsea, meanwhile, have no place in their side for either Didier Drogba or Nicolas Anelka who are dropped to the bench after firing blanks against FC Copenhagen, but Fernando Torres and Salomon Kalou are both starters.
