NPL top scorer and Sunshine Stars’ Ibrahim Ajani, whose team is set to debut in the Orange CAF Confederation Cup against the Camerounian giants, Tiko United on Sunday at the Gateway international stadium, Ijebu Ode, Ogun state, has promised to score against the visitors.
The petite forward who declined to mention the number of goals he will score rather said that they are determined to make the country proud.
“I know I will score but how many goals I cannot say but I am determined to take all the chances that will come in my way. “Our preparations are okay, we are trying our best, at least, to make the country proud. This is our first outing in the continent; we have resolved to make the best out of it.”
Ajani whose lone goal, 10 in the first stanza, killed off the ambition of Bukola Babes to leave Ijebu Ode on Sunday with a point and which put the Akure based team on commanding second spot informed that he will raise his goal haul to 20 in the second term.
“I am very happy being the highest goal scorer at the moment with 10 goals, my target for the season is 20 goals, I am working very hard to achieve it,” he said.
