Wiz Khalifa’s fans are truly of the college kind considering the Pittsburgh rapper took home the top honor during the 2011 mtvU Woodie Awards, an event that serves as the definitive award show for college students and the music they care about.
The ‘Roll Up’ rhymer took home the Woodie of the Year at the ceremony, held Wednesday evening (March 16) in Austin, Texas during the SXSW Music Conference.
Khalifa bested such acts as Arcade Fire, B.o.B., Black Keys and LCD Soundsystem for his work on his ubiquitous hit ‘Black and Yellow.’
