Ramblers will try to reel in log leaders Black Africa when they face Blue Waters at the Sam Nujoma Stadium tomorrow.
Ramblers – whose match against Oshakati City had to be cancelled after a rain deluge hit the SKW field midway through the second half on Saturday – currently trail BA by seven points but have two matches in hand over their title rivals.
The rain-interrupted match was tied at 2-all with Nelson Geingob scoring a brace for Oshakati City and Nico Narib a brace for Ramblers before it was stopped after 68 minutes.
Victory against an out-of-sorts Blue Waters side would put them on 30 points and enhance their push for league honours.
Blue Waters, whose season got off to a promising start, can ill afford another loss as they now find themselves fourth from the bottom and just five points away from relegation safety.
This weekend’s other game feature another title hopeful, Orlando Pirates, against strugglers Blue Boys at the same venue.
Pirates, who are fifth and ten points off the pace, also had their match against second-from-bottom Mighty Gunners called off due to rain last weekend. A win should send them back into the top three, level on points with Ramblers.
Blue Boys need to win to steer clear of the bottom two. Defeat would leave them in deep relegation trouble.
