Jose Fuentes says a deal is almost done which will see the the attacking midfielder play for his former club.
“Without a doubt he is influenced by the affection of the fans, he pays a lot of attention to everything that happens in Brazil, especially with Vasco,” the agent told Radio Brasil. “I would say that the offer is very good but, even it wasn’t, Juninho would come back anyway.
“He wants to play for Vasco. Knowing Juninho, he is a professional athlete and he will not want to be released and leave Al-Gharafa before the end of the championship.
“Al-Gharafa have treated him very well and he would not want to leave the team with 4-5 games remaining,” concluded Fuentes.
The 36-year-old played with the Rio de Janeiro club between 1995 and 2001, making 111 appearances and scoring 26 goals.
