Opening up for her first in-depth interview since taking ex-husband Michael Douglas to court over his paycheck from “Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps,” Diandra Douglas took to the defensive in the April 2011 issue of Harper’s Bazaar.
Hitting newsstands March 29, Diandra emphatically states of suing Michael, “I am not a greedy person by nature. I ask myself every night if I should walk away.”
The former wife of the Gordon Gekko actor continues, “Michael didn’t know he was ill, I didn’t know he was ill, and the gods didn’t know he was ill. I am not into going after sick people for things that don’t belong to me.”
“I didn’t think it would turn into this huge media circus. That was not my intent,” a feelingly persecuted Diandra reveals. Of the bad press, she tells “It’s hurtful. I’m not made of cement. I’m a human being.”
“I loved Michael very much when I married him,” Diandra adds. “And I don’t think love ever really disappears. It might metamorphose, but I certainly don’t think that hate is the right recipe.”
