Hollywood actor Tony Danza has today filed for divorce from his wife of 24 years, Tracy Robinson.
The 60-year-old star of 80’s TV greats such as Taxi and Who’s The Boss? decided to permanently end his marriage following their separation in 2006.
The couple, who married in June 1986 and have two daughters, Katherine, 23 and Emily, 17, have listed ‘irreconcilable differences’ as the main reason behind their decision to divorce.
This is the second time the Italian-American actor has faced divorce following the breakdown of his first marriage to Rhonda Yeoman in the mid 70’s.
Tony and Rhonda met while they were at college and were married two-years. They have a 40-year-old son together.
A Danza family representative told US Magazine: ‘They’ve technically been separated for a few years but they worked through it and were still together,’
The source added: ‘I’m not sure what happened, they decided to make it official.’
The Emmy-nominated actor shot to fame in 1978 when he starred as part-time cab driver and boxer, Tony Banta, in the hit 70’s sitcom Taxi.
