Ajax teenager Christian Eriksen: I would reject Liverpool for a move to Barcelona

Ajax teenage sensation Christian Eriksen has revealed that he would not be interested in moving to Liverpool as Barcelona is the only club he would consider leaving for.

The Danish starlet was linked with a move to the Reds back in December and recently assistant manager Sammy Lee was spotted monitoring the progress of the youngster but the midfielder revealed that he would only move to the Catalan giants.

Eriksen’s contract does not run out until 2014 and his recent international form for Denmark has attracted much interest, but the Dane feels that his game would not be suited the Premier League.

“If I got an offer from Liverpool right now, I believe I would reject it,” he told the Danish media.

“Ajax is a good club for me at the moment and I believe it will be that for a couple of years.

“If I did move, it would have to be to FC Barcelona.”
