Daniel Eli, who plays as a lateral defender for Accra Hearts of Oak’s reserve team, has said the club will bounce back to top form.

Hearts are currently in the bottom rungs of the league and risk going to relegation if the trend continues in the remaining matches of the competition.

Daniel Eli said, “I know Accra Hearts of Oak will bounce back. We have the players…what we need is team work and support”.

He urged the supporters to be calm and have faith in the team.

“This is the time the team need support in order to keep the ‘never say die’ spirit alive”.

He said the support will motivate the players to give off their best on the field of play.

Daniel Eli played for Dansoman Real United, which was a colts team, for 4 years. He then traveled to Germany to play for SSV Buer for two seasons. When he came back from Germany, he trained with Kpando Heart of Lions before joining Accra Hearts of Oak.

Hearts registered him in December last year and he currently plays in the reserve league for the Phobians.

Eli said he is working hard to join the first team of Hearts and subsequently get called up into the national team.

“I’m working very hard to get a first team place in Hearts of Oak. And my prayer is also to be called into the national team in the near future,” he said.
