Ryan Giggs believes the title race will go right till the end of the season and is hopeful that Manchester United will regain the trophy after a year without it.
The Red Devils currently lie top of the Premier League with a four point lead over second placed Arsenal but the Gunners do have a game in hand over their rivals and Giggs thinks it will be a close run race.
“I think it’s going to go to the wire, to the last game of the season,” Giggs told Sky Sports News.
“But it’s in our hands at the moment and that’s how we want it to remain.”
The winger also commented on his manager Sir Alex Ferguson whose fiery words aimed at referee Martin Atkinson, after United’s defeat to Chelsea, landed him with an improper conduct charge from the FA.
However, Giggs thinks that Ferguson has softened as the years have gone by and his desire to win has never changed, he added: “He has mellowed but he’s still got that desire and especially when you don’t play well, when you know you don’t produce the game you’re capable of.”
