It’s not very often that the confident and self-assured Simon Cowell gets embarrassed. But with any celebrity, there’s always going to be an old TV clip that is just itching to come back and haunt them.
And the X Factor boss was on the receiving end of his past last night when his host Jay Leno played footage of Cowell as a contestant on a quiz show in the Nineties.
The pop mogul was a guest on the legendary chat show host’s 4,000th show last night and spoke about the Royal Wedding, American Idol and the US version of the X Factor.
But he also took the opportunity to embarrass Cowell as he played footage from the UK version of the popular quiz show which aired on ITV from 1972 to 1983 and was hosted by Nicholas Parsons.
