Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp believes Wolves will ‘definitely’ avoid drop

Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp has revealed he does not believe Wolves will be relegated from the Premier League this season.

Spurs meet Mick McCarthy’s men this weekend and Redknapp believes that the Midlands club have already proved that they are good enough to remain at this level with scalps against Chelsea, Manchester City and United already this season.

And with Wolves hammering Blackpool 4-0 last weekend it only serves to reinforce the view of the White Hart Lane manager.

“I’ve said all along that I don’t think Wolves will go down, that’s been my opinion for months,” Redknapp told the club’s official website.

“I think they are a good side and they will definitely stay up. I don’t see them as a relegation team at all.

“It’s always a difficult place to go and win. They’ve already beaten United there, City, Chelsea, so that underlines how tough it is there.

“But we have to go and pick up a result.”

Tottenham’s last outing was a 3-1 defeat against Blackpool where numerous chances were missed. Redknapp has expressed the importance of a week that could define the season.

With Wolves at the weekend he will be looking for all three points as they continue to battle for the Champions League places. Three days later and Spurs host AC Milan in the second leg of their clash.

And Redknapp hopes that his team can recapture the form that saw his side put together a run of four victories, including a memorable win at the San Siro.

“We’d been playing so well [before Blackpool]and everything just went wrong on the night,” he added. “We have to come back from that now.

“It’s another big week for us. Wolves and then AC Milan, that’s a massive game, one of the biggest games in the history of the club.

“We’re preparing for those games now and hopefully it will be another good week for us.
