Atletico Madrid are reportedly considering making a move move for Manchester City striker Felipe Caicedo.

AS reports that Atletico are in the market for attacking reinforcements because of the ongoing uncertainty as to the future of Diego Forlan and Sergio Aguero, and they see Caicedo as a good replacement in case either should leave the club.

The 22-year-old, who is on loan at Levante, started his professional career with Rocafuerte and also played for Basel before joining Manchester City in 2008.

Levante have an option to buy Caicedo for €1 million (£840,000), and are expected to use this option, with a view to selling him again if a club matches their €5m (£4.2m) asking price.
