Ghanaian William Owusu Acheampong hit a 67th minute effort to keep Cercle Brugge’s Belgian Cup hopes alive at Germinal Beerschot Wednesday night.
Daniel Cruz shot the host in front exactly on the hour mark with a clinical finish but Owusu, on loan from Portuguese side Sporting Lisbon slammed in a seven minutes later to ensure Brugge remain in the competition.
He was replaced by team-mate Foley on the 86th minute.
Right-back Daniel Opare starred in the Standard Liege set-up which beat KV Mechelen 1-4 away.
