Rolling Stone Keith Richards’ daughter Theodora in court for ‘graffiti on convent’

The daughter of Rolling Stone rocker Keith Richards has been in court after she was arrested for painting graffiti on the side of a convent, police said.

Fashion model Theodora Richards, 25, was spotted writing ‘T-Heart-A’ with a red acrylic paint marker on a SoHo convent in Manhattan, New York, on Tuesday night, they said.

The phrase ‘T-Heart-A’ is code for ‘Theodora loves Alexandra’ in reference to her 24-year-old younger sister, she allegedly told plain-clothed police who approached her.

She is also alleged to have had marijuana and eight-and-a-half hydrocodone pain relieving tablets on
her at the time of the arrest outside St Anthony’s Convent.

Miss Richards said she bought the pills from a dealer thinking it was Xanax, did not have a prescription for them and stated ‘I hope I don’t get in trouble for this’, according to officials.

She was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of marijuana, making graffiti and possession of a graffiti-making instrument, authorities said.

Miss Richards appeared at Manhattan Criminal Court on Wednesday for her arraignment.

She was released without bail, did not enter a plea and would not speak to reporters as she left the courtroom. Miss Richards is due back in court next month on April 21.

The writing on the convent wall is
extremely small and hard to notice. But the nuns were disappointed by
what they found on the building.

‘It’s defacing public property,’ one told the New York Daily News. ‘We
have to ask the city to take it off. Taxpayers’ money now has to pay for
it.’

Her career then took off and she has since been featured in fashion magazines such as Vogue, Glamour and Rolling Stone.

‘My dad’s generation was all about rebellion,’ she told celebrity
website FemaleFirst in 2006. ‘I’m rebelling against my generation in a
softer way.

‘Many of the kids around me just want to go out and party every night
but I don’t. I’m not a big fan of drugs. Everybody’s had their own
experience.’

Mr Richards, a former heroin addict, has been arrested five times on drugs charges and was jailed once in 1967 for possessing amphetamine – but released 24 hours later after a successful appeal.

He was given a suspended sentence by Canadian police in 1978 after admitting heroin possession.

No other arrests were made last night along with Miss Richards, but it is unclear if she was alone.

Mr Richards, 67, who is married to former model Patti Hansen, 54, has four children in total. He wrote a best-selling memoir called ‘Life’ about his days with the Rolling Stones and Mick Jagger.

Theodora Richards’s agent did not immediately respond to a request for comment from MailOnline.
