Walter Mazzarri: Napoli Have Just Lost One Of Many Finals Against Milan

The Partenopei’s title hopes took a fragile blow as Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Kevin-Prince Boateng and Alexandre Pato struck for the hosts.

And while Mazzarri suggested his side’s hopes for glory were dead, he insisted they are not totally buried.

“Milan are a team of phenomenons and they stopped us from playing,” Mazzarri told Sky Sport Italia.

“Until the penalty the game was balanced, then things changed. We wanted to do something in the second half, but we couldn’t.

“We gave too much space to Pato and Ibrahimovic who closed the game. We conceeded too many chances and we were punished.

“It doesn’t matter, we have lost this final, but we have to look to the rest.”
