Police have arrested a 29-year-old man for the murder of Durban siblings Dennis and Crystal Roberts.
Police spokesman, Colonel Jay Naicker, said the man was arrested in Tsolo in the Eastern Cape by members of the Provincial Hijacking Task Team, on Wednesday.
A search is on for two more suspects.
Dennis, 75, was strangled at a Durban hotel on Sunday night. It is believed his killers used his keys to gain entry to the house he shared with his sister, Crystal, 72, in Glen Hills and killed her too.
On Tuesday, a shocked Rick Gerrard confirmed that he had found his strangled mother at her home.
He said he last spoke to her on Monday morning when she asked him what they were going to have for dinner that evening.

“Later that afternoon my son and I found her lying dead in a pool of blood. I cannot explain what we felt when we found her body.”
Gerrard said that when he alerted police about his mother’s death, he was given the news about his uncle’s murder at the Formula One Hotel near the Durban Station. Dennis had apparently spent the night there.
“I strongly believe that whoever did this knew my mother and uncle very well.”
He said his uncle’s bank cards had been stolen and an undisclosed amount of cash had been withdrawn at 10.30am on Monday. He said the crime scene indicated that his mother had been watching television when she was killed.
“The show she had been watching was on pause and she had been smoking a cigarette. She must have gone to check if Dennis had returned home when she was attacked and killed.”
He said his mother’s car, which his uncle used, was also stolen.
He said his uncle had recently returned from London, where he lived for many years.
Neighbour Merilyn Swanby, who had known Crystal Roberts for many years, said they were shocked by the double tragedy.
“She was a wonderful person who was passionate about getting things done and helping out in the community. We will really miss her.”
