MARIA ARAGON, the 10-year-old internet sensation, has been invited to duet with Lady Gaga at a concert next week.
MARIA ARAGON, the 10-year-old girl whose cover of Lady Gaga’s hit ‘Born This Way’ has generated over 14 million YouTube page views, has been invited to duet with the superstar singer at an upcoming concert.
Gaga was reportedly so impressed after catching the 10-year-old’s rendition of her latest single that she has personally invited Aragon to duet with her. The 24-year-old singer also posted a link to the clip on her Twitter page, telling followers, “Can’t stop crying watching this. This is why I make music. She is the future”. Aragon is set to perform at the singer’s concert in Toronto, Canada, on 28th February 2011. Whilst Aragon appeared on Winnipeg’s Hot 103 radio station, Lady Gaga called in and told her, “Not only do you have such a beautiful voice and you’re so joyful to watch. Every once in a while, whether people believe it or not, I was having a very bad day… and I was sent the video of you singing ‘Born this Way’ I was so overjoyed I began to cry. Thank you so much for making my day better”.
In light of her new-found fame, MARIA ARAGON also appeared on Good Morning America this week where she confirmed the scheduled duet, saying, “Gaga invited me to her concert in Toronto to sing with her. Of course I’m gonna be nervous because she’s so big and I’m only beginning”.
