Ken Kuranchie Is Not Only A Liar, But Very Stupid – JJ’s Aide

Special Aide to former President Rawlings’ aide, Kofi Adams has rubbished reports that the Mr. Rawlings owns a mansion in Accra at the Airport Residential Area, and has subsequently described the author behind the publication as a stupid person, albeit impliedly.

The Searchlight newspaper, on Wednesday, February 23 2011 carried a publication with the screaming headline “Rawlings Has Another House!” claiming that House Number 5 on the Osibisa Close at the Airport Residential Area is the property of Former President Jerry John Rawlings.

Though the publication did quote Mr Adams as having denied that the house in question belongs to Mr Rawlings, nonetheless, it stated that it is reliably informed that the said house belongs to the former First Gentleman of the land, who uses the facility as a “resting place”.

But speaking on the Big Bite show on Xfm 95.1, a privately owned commercial radio station in Accra, Kofi Adams rebuffed the story and questioned why the paper would go ahead to carry out a publication he had earlier debunked.

“You know this person you are talking about is noted for churning out lies. Lies that you can easily see could be emanating from somebody who may not really have some faculties of his system working so well, so sometimes people may not want to give it any decency of even responding. So you can sit down and someone come to tell you that one visits a particular place regularly so it belongs to that person; this is the kind of journalism they do and they call themselves journalists…Indeed, he did call me and I told him that since the house at the Ridge residence got burnt, anytime President Rawlings was in Accra and he could not return to the Tefle home in the Volta Region, he did pass the night with a friend around that place. And so if he says they see him there regularly, that is true, but he can go check the owner of the house,” he added.

Asked who this friend of Mr Rawlings was, Mr Adams replied, “I don’t know the owner, but it does not belong to President Rawlings…It is so easy to want to check; you can easily go and knock and find out the owner of the facility if you so want. I do not know whether the person staying in there it belongs to him or it doesn’t belong to him, either. What I do know is that it doesn’t belong to President Rawlings…As far as I know it’s a friend that lives there,” Kofi Adams said.
