French champions Olympique Marseille are reluctant to release teenager Jordan Ayew to join Ghana’s Under-20 team for next month’s African championship.
According to Kickoffghana.com, Marseille coach Didier Deschamps has told the player he will not be allowed to go.
The 19-year-old faced a similar problem during the qualifiers and was only released for the second leg of the final eliminator against Benin.
His elder brother Andre captained the Black Satellites to win the last edition of the tournament in Rwanda two years ago.
Ghana, defending champions, need their Europe-based talents for the tournament which runs from 18 March- 1 April in Libya.
