Ghana midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng came back to the AC Milan squad on Sunday after recovering from injury in their 1-2 win at Chievo.
He replaced Alexander Merkel in the 74th as Alexandre Pato came off the bench to score AC Milan’s winner as the Serie A leaders brushed aside their Champions League defeat in midweek with victory at the Marc’ Antonio Bentegodi.
Robinho had given his side the lead after 23 minutes only for Gelson Fernandes to equalise after just over an hour.
Boateng has been out of action for several weeks with a recurring groin problem and is an important boost for the Serie A leaders.
