The Ghana Football Association is expected to soon approve the budget for the organization of the second edition of National Women’s Soccer League.
The GFA took delivery of the documents from the Ghana Women’s League Board yesterday.
The League Organizers expect an amount of 8,500 Ghana Cedis to facilitate the successful organization of the competition which will bring together some of the finest women’s soccer clubs in country. The maiden edition of the Championship, held in 2009, suffered some organizational challenges.
But, Rosalind Amoh who is a member of the Ghana Women’s League Board tells Joy Sports she is hopeful of a successful organization this year.
She said because last year’s was the first, the programme suffered from inexperience and issues organizers did not anticipate. Rosalind Amoh believes last year’s experience will help organizers avoid some of the pitfalls.
