Former Ashgold player David Adjei has said emphatically that new Hearts Serbian coach Vucicevic Nebojsa has nothing to offer the Phobian family.
Currently based in Slovenia, Adjei, who is on the verge of hanging his boots, revealed that he has worked under the coach, and can confirm that the coach is bereft of technical knowhow to restore the fortunes of the club.
“I believe Hearts’ management did little about the coach’s track record, they wouldn’t have gone for his services. I have worked with him, and I can say he has nothing to offer,” he said on Happy FM.
He added that: “If Hearts had contacted me, I would have opposed the idea to engage him,” Adjei added.
According to the player, it is high time club officials engaged the services of past players who are into football saying, “a player like Ablade Kumah should have been encouraged to take over the coaching job.”
Reacting to the state of the local league, he said that it is taking a nosedive and laid the blame at the doorstep of the Ghana Football Association, citing poor pitches and lack of infrastructure at some match venues as some of the causes for the downward trend.
The former Asante Kotoko/Great Olympics player mentioned that his three-year stint at Brazil revealed that there is no distinct difference between Ghana and Brazil in terms of talent, but the only difference is proper management.
