Ghana striker Mathew Amoah marked his return from injury to the NAC Breda set-up with a defeat.
Amoah started from the bench in the 45th minute for Fouad Idabdelhay but could not help his side avoid a 0-2 home defeat to Heerenveen.
He suffered a thigh injury in December but has fully recovered.
The Breda club have just one point from three league matches in 2011.
Amoah is the club’s top scorer this season with nine goals.
