Who is the fanciest Oba in Nigeria? This question has been asked times without number with no clear-cut answer to the question.
But if push should come to shove many will want to wager that Oba Rilwan Babatunde Osuolale Akiolu I is a monarch that stands out.
But then that will not be a big surprise as Lagosians are renowned for their knack for high-class fashion and style.
That Oba of Lagos is a fashionable man that brings breezy glitz to the conservativeness of the monarchy figure is reiterating the obvious.
This much was put to bare recently when His Royal Majesty turned up like a cool dude out of a Hollywood Costa Nostra movie decked in all-white dinner jacket at the Adeshina’s wedding held at the Civic Centre last Sunday.
Safe for the staff and his usual entourage of palace aides one would have confused the monarch for a dandy Hollywood hotshot. Kabiyesi o! Respect.
